InsightSquared Forecasting
Forecasting is hard. Any sales person will tell you that but it’s crucial to every sales team to try and create accurate and usable forecasts so the business has a good idea of what revenue to expect in the future and whether the goals they're setting are at least in an informed realm of possibility. InsightSquared had created a pretty bare bones forecasting POC in the past and that lacked too much functionality to be terribly useful for sales teams and couldn’t really be built upon. The product team decided to really invest in creating a forecasting tool to try and extend InsightSquared beyond a review / analytics tool to something more sticky and part of a sales team's day to day workflow. I researched and interviewed many sales teams and ultimately through multiple prototypes and a few rounds of testing arrived here.
