During my time at InsightSquared I did a little bit of everything.
Early in my time at InsightSquared I was involved in a light visual overhaul of our reports template. We optimized the explainability of the reports by adding a lot more descriptive text and organizing a lot of the various interactions which were layered onto the system over time.
Updated dashboards to make them fully responsive and far more customizable.
When InsightSquared moved into their new office I hired and directed a local artist to create a nice mural.
Marketing was primarily responsible for the website, but I pitched in occasionally. I redesigned and built the wordpress template for the blog.
Early at my time at InsightSquared there was very little design guidance for the engineering team. I created a handy dandy design doc that outlined our patterns and included code snippets to help maintain a consistency.
InsightSquared has a small set of rules you can set up for reports to auto-send emails when certain goals or other parameters are hit. These were design options for the emails clients would receive.
Logo illustration I created for a T-shirt and announcement for the opening of InsightSquared’s San Francisco office.
Random object illustrations I’ve created which have been used in branded materials, office wallpaper, etc.
For InsightSquared’s second annual conference held at the Westin in Boston’s seaport district I did the motion graphics for the signage outside to welcome guests.
Early in my career I worked in magazine publishing as a Designer at Time Inc. Content Solutions (custom publications for clients) and Assistant Art Director for Runner’s World Magazine. There’s nothing like having a single month to fill a 100+ page magazine with content over and over again to teach you to produce high-quality work, quickly and on time. I also had the opportunity to work with a lot of cool illustrators and direct a number of photoshoots.
